As I'm sure you're aware, September was a month dominated by the death of our former Monarch, Queen Elizabeth II and the radio community not only within the North East, but also Nationally, respectively adjusted their programming and scaled back on running news items that didn't quite fit the tone of the current events.
It was no different for Nova Radio North East, however in the background we quietly forged on with various improvements for our listeners which we would like to formally share with you today!
We now broadcast across the North East on DAB, meaning listeners can tune in over the airwaves across Newcastle, Gateshead, North and South Shields as well as the majority of North Tyneside. This is in addition to broadcasting on 102.5FM in the Newcastle and Gateshead areas as well as our online offerings with our iOS and Android Apps, Alexa Skill and our relationships with all the major radio directories - such as Apple Radio and TuneIn.
Our main website - www.novaradio.co.uk had a much needed over-hall with a refresh of some of the site design and navigation giving a fresher, cleaner look to the user experience. You can now find links to our show's Listen Again as well as show Social Media links - all from the Schedule Page.
We're super-excited to join our community peers on this fantastic broadcast platform, especially given that DAB accessibility is ever increasing with most, if not all new cars having this medium built in. If you enjoy a LOCAL and LIVE show to listen to on your commute - then you should check out our Breakfast Show with Steve Ryan weekday mornings from 8am, and our drivetime show On The Toon with Peter Miller from 4pm.
Of course we also have the full schedule of shows available, which you can view on the Schedule Page of our website.
As ever - thanks from all volunteers at Nova Radio for your continued listenership - and we welcome any comments, feedback and critique, simply visit the Contact page of the website, or email admin@novaradio.co.uk
